CTHankster Raw, raving rock 'n' roll with DNA from garage rock and mid-1970s punk and pub rock. Stripped-down, juiced up guitar riffs and hooks that are ear lampreys. Perfectly recorded to cleanly capture the live energy but not so clean as to tame the sounds. Vocals cut through nicely and the guitars ring out with overdrive, reverb, and sustain. Get the party started! Favorite track: (Had To Run Away To) Come Back.

There is a lot to hear here and unsurprisingly it's a mixed bag, but Passing Strange's stunning arrangement of "Tourniquet" blows me away. They make it sound like it was ALWAYS a piano ballad, and their contribution was to rock it up with lively drums. summer villain
